MODE Architectural worked on the design and programming of four permanent interactive installations for Microsoft's Entertainment & Devices Division.

Working closely with Microsoft and Callison Architecture MODE developed the look, feel, and experience of the installation. Ten unique and custom interactive experiences were created by MODE for the debut of the project.

The screens were designed to blend seamlessly into the soaring atriums.  The screens had to be a visible presence throughout the daylight hours, as well as allowing for translucency.

MODE devised and created a custom interactive engine that utilizes cameras, thermal sensors, and input feeds from traffic and weather sources to create completely unique visual experiences day to day, and hour to hour.  Using hidden hotspots, people in the atrium can visibly and audibly interact with the screens.
